Located in Jilin Province, Showa's China plant is located at the heart of the rich diatomite deposits of Changbaishan mountain range, and produces Radiolite® products from 500,000-years-old freshwater diatomite. Production started in 2010 with capital investment from Showa Chemical Industry. The Bai Shan plant is now fully integrated into Showa's global sourcing strategy, and the same strict quality control system is in place as the one we implement in our Japan plants. Our Chinese products are suitable for a wide range of filtration applications.
